I have a 63 jeep j100 w/ 350 small block, quadrajet carb and a really f*$%#d electrical system. i finally got tired of crap not workin and pulled the ENTIRE electrical on an impulse I bought one of those 12 fuse universal wiring kits from painless. My question is this; how big of a project have i gotten myself into, and second, do i need a bigger system if i want to run this thing in the desert. i.e an electric fan. iv only been doin this for a lil while, so im still a newbe.

Well, it looks like you tossed yourself into the deep end. Time to start treading water.
I haven't dealt with a Painless system, but from what I've seen; it looks easy to install. I'd start with reading the directions. Hopefully, you didn't throw away everything. You might want to keep the light sockets and such.

best thing is too find a wire diagram for the orignal and compair it tothe replacment harness... the painless harness should be tagged . or every wire should be imprinted with where it goes...
