:
... you will see a power loss going to the performer RPM intake because a single plane intake will give you peak H.P. over a daul plane

I usually don't want to pick apart a good debate, but that is absolutely not true. You recommended a camshaft of 225° of duration @.050", this will make peak horsepower at or around 5500 rpm. There's no way a single plane has any advantage there, the dual plane will make more power. There's a reason why that intake has a lower overall height and is cheaper than the Performer RPM, because it's an older design that is meant for low hood clearance vehicles. I just don't want the original poster to slap on a single-plane on a mild rebuild when there's a better combination readily available...

The only thing I can't confidently say is that if the dual-plane will outperform the single plane during nitrous use, where I foresee the two to be a little bit closer in power output, but if this ride will never see a track you have to be concerned with street time as well.

The cam I recomended will make peak H.P. at 5800 RPM not 5500 rpm. The dual plane will only give a little better low RPM torq but will not out perform a single plane intake in overall H.P. with the same setup the single plane can jump up h.p. approx. 30 more H.P.may be more. The design also is for lighter weight cars with high performance street or competition engines. The torker 2 will proform a lot better with NOS then the performer RPM. I used the torker (2) on a friends camaro Z-28 with a little less lift on the cam and a little larger carb. and he has no problems running on the street and we had remove a performer RPM  intake from the camaro and he said it made a big differance in power all I did is change the intake and I noticed more power as well I don't recomend things that do not work or that I have not tried my self.

I see you're very set in your ways and that you think you have a better understanding of this subject than I. I won't continue to argue but I urge anyone else to do some research of their own and make the right decision....

No you do not have to change out the push rods or valve springs just to put on a set of roller rockers. The only way you may have a problem is if you use a 1.6 ratio rocker instead of a 1.5 ratio rocker because the 1.6 may give more lift than the springs can handle.
