Ok if you did not adjust the rocker arms right then that may be why you do not have oil coming out of them you have to have a quarter turn of preload once there set at zero clearance. Also make sure you are turning the pump in the right direction.

Also, I don't forget the obvious. Make sure you have plenty of oil in the car. I've seen more than once someone drop the oil and forget to refill it.

I don't recomend cutting holes in the floor board at all.I use a box end wrench to undo the 2 top bolts and a ratchet and a extension bar for the 4 bottom bolts.

The easiest way Ive seen to get them upper bell bolts is to get a 6 point short swivel socket from a good tool co. and a 5 ft. extention to go down over the top of the trany and crossmember.Been gettin them fkrs like that 4 yrs.

i cant find any info for a company called "americam" on google. the company that made it might be long gone, or it may have been purchased by a bigger company that may still be around today. someone on here might know about it than i do though. as for the cam itself, and it's lift and duration, that cant be determined by us, knowing only the company name. take it to a machine shop that builds motors and makes custom cams. they should be able to determine that, because they have the right equipment to do so. then you can decide if it's right for you, or if you should upgrade.

You are gonna want some thing around .450lift or lesS. I would recomend a comp. cams high energy .425 lift cam #cca-12-205-2 or a crane energizer .440 lift cam kit#CRN-100042 these will both give good low end torq. also what type of carb. are you running to be sure.

hello everyone, Yes, I'd love to see a picture of it as well----do you have one for us?? I don't know too much about engines either, but if you want any plates, try these people---number plates. I am just another fan of the 72 el camino!
