YES! YES! YES! I have one on an engine stand as I write to you. When I saw the headline in the lower left side of CarCraft magazine, it was like YES! Christmas in a book!!!!! My eyes were wide open ! Is this for real? YES! Someone has found an LT1! Now what will the article have in it? I have been on the internet looking for information on the LT1. I got a book by HPBOOKS at Summit Racing on "How to build small-block Chevy LT-1/LT-4 engines. I didn't know I needed the VIN number, but the car was done crushed! I took the numbers from the right side of the engine block which are VO414WHJ to the local Chevy dealer. They checked the numbers and said the engine came out of a '94 Chevy Caprice. It also has the number 10125327 on the right side of the block. On the left side of the block behind the head is GM 5.7 LG SGI C304. On the back of the block is 327 H5. The number on the heads is 10125320. Now is this the Red Head Step Child engine 4.3 L V8 at the end of the article? When I read this all my Christmas lights went out. Yes, any build up or what you can bolt on will be a big help to the one that has this engine. Yes, I will give up one more of do-it-yourself paint & body article for this LT1 small block build up.
Thanks, Jim
