I'm trying to figure what kind of 5 speed this is. GM 8679097 (bellhousing is part of the case)is the only thing I see on it, oh and a fadded sticker. The guy said it came out of a chevy truck, 90's. There are two electric plugs that are the driver side and the shifter is towards the middle.

Yes, that is a GM truck transmission.  I went and looked at my buddy's 92 Silverado to be sure.  I think the transmission is called the NV3500 (code MG-5).  Hope this helps!  

Sure does, thanks. For only 150 bucks, I think it will work great in my impala....once I get the rest of the part to convert it to a standard.
