I don't which one is better. They were two different sized vehicles. Charger is nearly a full size car and the Challenger is a pony car.

Personally, I have always liked them both, but I've had a preference for the Challenger mainly because you see less of them. Vanishing Point may also be an influence.

Both cars have their goods and bads, but like he said above, you're comparing a full size to a mid-size. It's like comparing an Impala to a Chevelle.

I like them both,. They really look tough. I just dont like the prices. Even for a junk they want to much.

I own 2 chargers (aussie make) love em till I'm no more. But anything mopar pre 1980 is a tough, no, SUPER TOUGH UNIT! IF they break a component, it wont be in most cases a factory CHRYSLER built part. And while were on the subject, they were definitely built to GO FAST, Not to stop!

I own a 68 Charger and have restored a couple Cuda's / Challengers...    I have to say I like my Charger alot more...   The B-body mopar actually handled as well as the E-body platform. The idea that the E-bodies handled better are based on the high performance small blocks available - these were not available in the Charger...    only the 318, 383, 440, 440+6, and Hemi...   (pre 71) - The T/A and AAR E-bodies do handle decently but the B-bodies are bigger, weigh more, are easier to get in and out of....

I'd say OVERALL winner IMO is the Charger

As far as the NEW Challenger and Charger...neither really.  They use the same platform and same powertrain.  They're about the same size, and put down similar numbers across trim lines (R/T vs R/T...SRT vs SRT).

I'd prefer the Challenger based on looks and the whole 2-door thing...

New? Challenger. Just on looks since they basically the same under the sheet metal. Old? I'll take the Charger, a '73 not a 68/69. But I'd rather have a Cuda if has to be Mopar.

Old, advantage charger.  I don't know why but I've always thought the Chargers were just dead sexy.

New, advantage Challenger. It has a more muscular look.  I haven't seen a blue one yet but it sure looks wicked on their website.

I really like the Charger, but I think I'd be happy with either one!
