Can I use pistons and rods from a 4.7L dodge engine in my 66 Barracuda's 273 Commando engine? The Commando's bore is 3.63, the 4.7L has a bore of 3.661. The Compression height of the 4.7L pistons is 1.24". I am not sure what the commando's compression distance is. I am new to engines, and I am trying to learn. I want to rebuild my 273, but pistons are impossible to find and I do not want to pay $850 for custom pistons. Can't afford it. So any tips or help would be great. Thanks.
