If you have the time off for the weekend it's a pretty cool event.  Saturday (15th) all the cars are for show during the tech inspections.  Hotel rooms are tough to get in this small town so if you are interested it would probably be wise to secure a room first before signing up as a volunteer. They never turn down volunteers.  Even cooler if you enter a car

Thanks for the tip! The high noon shootout is the kind of event I've been looking for. Dunno if I can make it in time. I'd love to go. Still eliminating a high speed vibe above 130. Had my D-shaft checked and I guess I need to step up to a 3.5" dia shaft to handle the rpms.  I remember when Big Red blistered that course when it was first raced. Been inspiring me ever since to make my aerodynamic brick go fast. Still lacking side and rear windows. Dunno if that's a requirement though. Need to do some research...

The results are posted now.  Seems more cars are finally breaking the 200 mile mark in the 1-mile (remember this is at 6500' Elev.)  My favorite car this time around had to have been the '61 Chrysler 300 that came in second in the 95mph bracket (big red car,   )  Nothing like seeing a car fly by me at near 200mph on a street I drive fairly regularly.
