68-71 Charger, 70-73 Challenger, Dodge SuperBee, R/T's are great like Charger R/T. They always came with either big block wedge or the Hemi. Anything with that four letter word on the hood will always be king in the muscle car world.

Where is your friend Located ? If he's in southern CA he should look at the September issue of CC. This guy's garage covered a Mopar shop that had a 68 charger, 1970 superbird, two 1970 cudas and a 1970 Charger R/T... the shop is located in Hawthorne, CA. ICON Engineering.

I'm glad for your friend, but seriously---what does he plan to do with the car? Whille the other suggestions are good, realistically, if he's looking for a car to drive, show, race or store & hope it increases in value these are all to be considered as he could spend, literally a million dollars on a Mopar and wind up abusing his investment.

If money is no issue, get a 69 daytona charger with a hemi and 4 speed.

I'd say go with a '68-70 Dodge Charger R/T. or if he wants power get a 1969 1/2 Super Bee 440+6 with a 4 speed.

Have him get a big one. But not just any big one.It has to be a 1964 Fury/gray/stage 3/with a 426 wedge with a push button auto.

I've got to agree. It doesn't get any better than that (at least with "classic" MoPars).
Other "money-is-no-object" MoPars would include a '68 Hemi Dart (built by Hurst**), a '68 Hemi Barracuda, Any Hemicuda.
**Mr. Norm of the famed Grand Spaulding Dodge is now building modern clones of his famed dealer tuner GSS Darts, which would probably be a lot more fun than any stock MoPar from the '60s.
Of the new MoPars, any of the SRT-8s are worth looking into. They'll waste about 90+% of the stock muscle MoPars right off the showroom floor while driving like a modern car with a full factory warranty. They even have fair gas mileage (although 19 m.p.g highway on $4.00/gal premium might test a lot of not-so-"unlimited" budgets). The IRS in the SRT-8, however, is a weak piece and will require upgrades when slicks and big power upgrades are involved.
And there's always the Viper. A 1000 h.p. turbocharged Hennessey "Venom 1000" Viper will wax a million-dollar Bugatti Veyron to 200 m.p.h.. That's not something you're going to do with an "ordinary" Hemi Charger Daytona/Superbird . . . .
The most fun for the MoPar dollar, however, is still probably a 340 Duster or 340 Demon.
