Just as long as it's not pink.

Seriously, most of the rodders on this site just use those imports as basic transpo. Honda is a great car if you want to get to work and back without ever having a problem with it. Plus, even the non-hybrids get decent mileage. But muscle car lovers really got turned off by the kids with stupid wings, graphics and loud sherbet ice cream colors. The chili-fart can muffler is horrid too.

You can buy a car stereo for $350 bucks at Best Buy that has Bluetooth built in along with HD radio and iPod connections. That's a heckuva lot cheaper than a new car. You can impress your friends with all your new tech in your old busted up Civic.

Do you know how many people I've impressed with the 8-track to cassette adapter with the cassette adapter to headphone jack adapter going to either my MP3 player or Discman on my T-bird? A lot.  With new speakers and the factory four speaker 8-track/AM radio the sound is great.  I don't need Bluetooth stuff, I just reach over to the center console plug things in and hit buttons.

A lot of us old farts still think 8 tracks and vinyl still sound better than any digital recording. My parents Caddy's with the factory 8 track stereos sounded better than any of the later factory cassette systems or CD systems.

Speaker technology has improved, but mostly in their ability to last longer at louder volumes.

I do like digital radios. Never did like trying to find the station with those analogs and knobs.

I can't wait til I have to buy the Beatles White Album for the umpteenth time when they bring in Blue Ray discs. Who the *** comes up with these names? Blue Ray, Blue Tooth, MP3?

when I was a kid we had a '74 catalina/safari wagon...we used to listen to many cassettes in an cassette to 8-track converter.  Good times...
