Does anyone know whether the stock oil pan and exhaust manifolds from a 73 F250 would work when swapping the engine into a 68 galaxie? also are there any cheap headers availible for this swap?

It should. The exhaust manifolds were very similar in design to the passenger car manifolds from 1969 to 1978. Same for the oil pan. It should be a bolt in with these parts attached. Any motor mount frame brackets from the same years of big Ford and Mercury and 1970 to 1978 Lincoln Continental and Mark series will work, too. Just be sure you use a big block C6 transmission crossmember, as the small block version is different.

Thanks, I seem to recall reading somewhere that 351M/400s share the same motor mounts as 429/460s. Do you know if that's the case and if so would frame mounts from a 69-78 351m/400 powered car also work? Presumably a C6 crossmember from a 351M/400 powered car would also work?
