I think I had a 69'or 70'.I know it was a 501.Dont remember for sure the yr.should b same thing all through.Car it came out of run 2 heats in demolition durby befor parked nearly 3yrs.Turned out he'd just seized a piston,and the knock was a wristpin.

I stumbled across this thread and couldn't resist, Put a Cadillac in it ! I have a 72 Chevelle with a moderately modified Cadi 500, 420hp 600+ftlbs, it's a killer street car, I'm currently working on a twin turbo stroked Cadi. for big Cadi info go hear.  http://www.cadillacpower.com/forum/index.php

i know cc did a build up of a 455 buick (+ ford, chevy, pontiac, etc.), but i cant remember when. i found an article in the tech section, page 4 ( 7 hot big blocks). this will help while i look for that back issue.

the big block showdown was in the jan 02 ish. buick made the most hp but cost the most.
