I can tell ya that when i was only 7 i though that Muscle cars kicked ass, i use to ditch my friends to go hang out with a guy 8X my age just to be around muscle cars and hot rods.  now i am 25 but i have a brother (19) and a sister(16) that both hate imports and love vintage steel.  They are so into old cars that i actually rely on them to tell me the exact year of cars from the 50's and 60's.

It may not be the fastest or prettiest, but i can pretend

Fox Body Mustangs are the last true MuscleCar most kids can afford...A fewn Montes had v-8's and some F-body cars, but Fox body cars are easy to change engines in and dang near everything will swap. Now as far as that list goes from a bunch of Muscle car snobs ...haha... my 67 Falcon Sport coupe weighs 2600lbs or so and has from the factory a 4bbl with a 4 speed . That is a true musclecar as well . Maybe a pocket rocket and no not any kind of a big block but that kind of power to weight will def put some lead in your pencil.

fox bodies are cool. 10 second autocrosser if you want it. tire tech, fuel injection, and a power-adder would make it easy as pie.

the LS series small block is a badass.

Anything can be made into a muscle car. If you gave me enough time and money, I could turn a '92 Chevy Cavalier into the baddest muscle car on the block. And wouldn't sound like something with a fart can exhaust. I'd find a way to convert it to rear-wheel drive and sqeeze a LS6 in it with a 5 speed.

Clean it like it's a museum piece. Tend to its needs like it's your own body. Protect it like it's your own child and Drive It Like You Stole It.

a cavalier will never be a musclecar. even if you throw a big block at it.

on the otherhand you COULD throw an anemic iron duke in a '70 caprice & it would be more of a musclecar.

sadly, i take back what i said about the last musclecar being built in '74, the musclecar lives in BMW M3's, audi S4's, & some other high priced foreign cars.

the big three just don't have the balls anymore...but they should proudly bring on the SRT's, ss & z06's, and shelby's because fast cars are fun (to drive).

fun (to own) cars are generally older & usually need modifications...

Hmmm....i like part of that definition awhile ago...a muscle car has at LEAST a v8. I don't care how fast these domestic/import ricers are, they aren't muscle. Nor are exotic cars like the Beemers muscle, theyre EXOTICS. If I pull up to a stoplight with my Elky and find myself beside a SRT-4, with it's fart can making a racket and such, I'd race it. And if I still had the old 305 in my car and the highway gears and that Neon killed me, it STILL wouldn't be as much of a muscle car as the Elky (not claiming a 305/slushbox cruiser El Camino is muscle, just more so than a pos neon). But I've finally got a 383 in it, along with 3.73 NON PEGLEG (T.G.) and it smokes everything i go against. Course, I do avoid real BB cars

So my point is, if you want a muscle car, sell your Neon and buy a REAL car.

Oh, and is a built 1979 Camaro w/ 350/350 and 4.10's a muscle car? I know its not from the right era, but still...my friend bets $10 it is

Projects: '79 Camaro 350/350, '72 Challenger Rallye 318 (the Green Slug!) which is currently sleeping in the snow :-(

May be getting a S-10, then V8 swap muhuahahahahaha

You gotta give some of the Imports around your towns credit they run pretty fast times at the track and arnt the ones tryin to race stop light to stop light.. On the other hand "RICERS" I KILL THEM ALL DAY hahah lol all these kids do is put a coffee can on the stock exhaust and put a cheap ebay INTAKE on their car NOW COME ON SERIOULSY WHO WOULDNT MAKE FUN OF THAT HAHAH LOL I LOVE MY MUSCLE CAR AND WOULD NEVER EVER TRADE IT FOR ANYTHING IN THE WORLD.. WELL I TAKE THAT BACK IF I COULD TRADE IT FOR A 67' Shelby GT 500 HELLZ YA I WOULD TRADE MY TRANS AM hahah lol
