In response to your topic, yeah I appreciate Muscle cars, have since I started building models. However, i dont have, nor can i afford one. I only have a 81 malibu sedan :P however ive painted it twice myself, and im working on a 327 or 350 to build for it and got lotsa plans. i also couldnt afford the insurance on anything else... i got 10 points in the last ... 9 months. so yeah. doin the best with what i have. AMERICAN. saw a guy who says " european cars have the most stock horsepower..." yeah, thas cuz ya pay   100k plus for it ya rich little snobass! whatever. nothin can do what a strong american v8 with a sweet body can do.  and as ricers *** i could fart in a coffe can and itd sound better, AND produce as much horsepower.

I don't know if you can call those muscle car but I'm a huge fan of 1982-92 camaro and other older muscle car. In some years, I plan to buy one of these. Maybe a injected 6 or 8 (concerned about fuel consumption), but I'm sure of one thing manual is the way to go.

To that guy who have had a chevelle in high school: I'm impress, but how did you pay for the gas it swallowed cause being a 8 and carbureted It must consume a lot of fuel.

To all you muscle car owner I show my respect and admiration and also envy !

yes, i did get crappy milage on my car but my school was no more then 2 miles away. the only reason i drove it and not walked was because i had to stay after school for football practice and another reason was just to show off. also,as seniors we got to put pics of are cars in the year book, here is the one i put in it.

i hear ya man, i bought my 69 chevelle a few years ago when i was in highschool, freakin kicked the crap out of all those idiots with their wings and ground effects, and cost me half if that of what they spent on their crappy rides.  even in college people think their imports are as fast, but once i prove my point they are usually quiet again... good luck with your 68 man

I must say, I am excited to hear of kids who respect muscle cars. 10 years ago, I was a 16 year old female in a 1973 LT1Camaro I talked my grandparents into loaning me 1000 bucks for...ahh, the memories..

I hope there re other young women who get to experience what I experienced with that car..

Its been gone for a few yers now, but replaced with 3 project firebirds...

Respect the F-Body!!

who doesn't like muscle cars.  I have a 78 firebird with a chevy 350 in it.  I built car crafts 440 hp budget vortec 350 back when i was 17.  I got my car when i was 15 and have done all the work on it, and paid for it too.  It has a rebuilt th350 trans with a 2800 stall converter and a new eaton posi with 3.73 ricmond gears.  I went to a high school where all the kids owned rice but i still beat all of them at the High School drag races.  I just graduated last year and am going to college now and i'm planning for some future mods to try to hit low 12's in the  quarter at my racetrack.  Low 12's here would be mid to low 11's at sea level though.  I've beat many imports with my car and hope to see more high schoolers with that old beat up muscle car that can kick the ass of any "good looking" rice burner.

yeah, i'm 18 and have have my 83 monte carlo since i was 16... i just think that is a little pathetic, that the old 305 and 2.75 rear gears could take on and beat many imports.  i agree, there is just nothing like an all american v-8..... when th e 406 and 3.42 gears are in, look out rice boys.....

I certainly agree, i live in las vegas, and i thought there was a lot of rice here.  but when i went to reno there was even more.  man i wish i had my car, i have a 1965 el camino with a 350 and i smoke the rice burners every chance i get.  there so damn annoying, muscle cars forever.  im 16 by the ways.

I am 17 years old and have loved muscle ever since I learned what it is.  I guess it comes from my dad or maybe just because American muscle is the best    Right now I drive a 1974 Dodge Dart Hang-10 that my dad bought as a project for me and him and my brother.  It has a mild 360 that we will be rebuilding after the Battle of the Titans 360 this winter.  I love that damn car.

Nobody in my family has ever owned an import.  My dad has had a few VWs in his time, but that's it.  My brother currently has a '99 Mustang GT that went 12.97@107 last week, my other brother a '91 T-Bird that will be recieving a blown 306 in the next few years, and when I get out of the Army (I leave July 7th, trying out to be a Ranger) I hope to buy a '69 Super Bee that at least LOOKs like a 440

It's pretty funny hearling all the know-nothing ricers at school talk #### about American cars.  Yet they are all afraid to grab a lane with the Dodge, let alone the Mustang lol.

BTW: FOXYFBODY, don't worry I know at least a few teenaged and 20 something girls that love muscle too

Hey man I feel for ya on the elc.  I know what it's like to have your pride and joy be taken away in an instant.  I had an 84 Monte carlo with a slightly built 355 that was my first car and man would it go! I live in the rust belt MN so it was parked for winter. I went to get it out this spring and it wasn't the same.

List of broken pieces: (Due to vandalism by other teens) (I"m 17)

Headlights, Tailights, all six windows, dash plastic, carb., 4 body panels messed up, a bunch of other stuff under the hood.

Total damages-$3200  Pretty devestating. I really admire you for keeping working on your elk. Hats off to ya

For the rest of you I'm glad you'all got american muscle. As for me right now i'm sittin with a 3.1 in a 97 Cutlass Supreme. Hey at least it's an Olds.

If anyone knows of any performance parts for a 3.1, or engine swap kits to make it a 3.8, I would really appreciate the info.

Race Safe
