I dont know much about this car it is a V-6 and an auto matic. Were these popular cars? It doesnt look like a muscle car but it does look likie a sweet tride and id like to buy it for FOUR HUNDRED dollars. It only has miniumal rust in the rear quarter panels and the seats have rips and dash needs some patches. What do you think this cars worth?

I know a pretty good amount of AMC factoids, but I'm not a so-called expert. However....What on earth is an AMC Capri? I've heard of Hornets, Spirits, AMX's, Javelin's, Eagles, Ramblers, Matatdors, Gremlins, *** even the Hornet Cowboy pick-up, but what is a AMC Capri? Maybe you're thinking of a Mercury Capri.
Clean it like it's a museum piece. Tend to its needs like it's your own body. Protect it like it's your own child and Drive It Like You Stole It.

I'm betting its a Mercury Capri. They were made in the early mid seventies by Ford's Australian branch. They mostly had 2.8 ltr V6's, though I've seen a few converted to V8's.
Heres a couple pics of what I am talking about. The yellow looks like a 73 or 74 by the massive front bumper. This looks like a picture from a magazine ad.
![]() the red one is in New Zealand and definitely built by Aussie Ford.

Starting in the late 70's Ford built a mercury capri (for the U.S.) as sister car to the mustang. In the late 80's into the early 90's, the mercury capri was converted to a two-seater kinda like the honda del sol , until its production run ended in the early 90's.
