Since the gen 3 6.0 liter is up and running, why don't they test it out in the Disco Nova? I bet it would scream. Do some dragstrip flogs and make some changes like rockers, manifolds and then spray it with a 150 hp shot. I'd like to see that! later M

This is coolest idea I've heard in awhile. Though, I think the Disco Nova is long gone. Stuffed into some storage shed along with Frieburgers other ignored projects.
CC staffer John McGann has a late seventies Caprice that should be in primer by now. It's suffering with some wheezing V6 that needs to be euthanized in favor of some cool V8. An LSx motor would be just what the speed freak ordered and John will be able to smog the car here in Cali as well.

Unfortunatly the Disco Nova has disappeared along with the mustang, Fireburp, the caprice and all the other AWOL projects of Car Craft . The rambler will probally disapear as well, since they are barely keeping it alive with a few paint and body stories.
Maybe after I graduate from UTI I'll move to Cali. and finish the AWOL CC projects . Right now they're too busy with the Comet they are giving away. Speaking of the Comet, I'm not gonna win it due to the fact I don't use smokeless tobaco and no one I know use it .
-Shawn ( 1999 Ford Ranger, 1986 Ford F-250 w/ 351W auto 4X4 and 33" mudders, and 1973 AMC Javelin/AMX w/ 360, auto and alot rust.)
Clean it like it's a museum piece. Tend to its needs like it's your own body. Protect it like it's your own child and Drive It Like You Stole It.

Ya, i think thats total BS. They should make it something all car crafters could or would by. Like a wrench set, gloves, ect. This rag is going down the crapper

The reason it is chew , which thankfully btw a buddy of mine uses or else I would be sol too is that THEY the Tobacco company is paying for it and the articles it is called advertising boys. That is why to this day I think Matt king was fired he had the temerity to question wether or not the Fox Body might be replacing a Chevy as the Hot Rod of choice. Wether you agree or not is not the issue maybe it is maybe it isn't. BUT he gored the sacred cow of some big time advertiser and down he went. Replaced by Mr Chevy Jeff Smith until half of the people buying it stopped. Then came our current Editor Mr Glad , whi is doing a pretty good job I feel anyway of keeping a balance.
Now I would love to see what happened to the Fire-Turd and Disco Nova. Finish the Mustang although it appears that it is headed to a bad finish too.
As far as the Disco goes ,for my part , put a 396 in it, I just like those motors and yes I know it is kinda small and yes I am a Ford guy, but the numbers and the way they sound and all have always just been cool . It can be made to run great. I am pretty old school though so I doubt it will be done. Plus my Mom had a 68n 396 Chevelle SS when I was a kid and it just is a cool little engine . Like the 289 is for a Ford.
