I just read Doug's editorial this month and had to write. I think it's one of his best so far. Insightful, poignant, and *** funny. Way to go, Man, you described us to a 'T'.

I go to a parts house here Culver City that's nothing more than tin shed in front of a hundred year old house. The garage is where they do repairs, the kitchen is now where the press and brake lathe is, and there is more pine needles than roofing shingles now. They give me a nice discount too.

I've bought a 71 Impala from a guy who smelled like moth balls, had to stop to take Haldol, and his wife was chewing tobacco. I drove it away for $250.

Last Christmas my starter quit an hour into my drive from Sacramento to LA. I didn't want to bother fixing it or waste time  trying to find a new one. I just push started it the car for the rest of the trip. Amazing how many people will help you do that.

Heaven is a well stocked and organized junk yard with good drainage.

I've taken shower using Fast Orange on my entire body. Shampooed tranny fluid out of my hair with Dawn dish soap. And I scrubbed grease off my hands with a lava rock.

PS, Doug, do you know the right tail light is out on your Rambler? See page 8.
