I have been a big fan (and collector) of the 83-88 T-Birds for 15 years.  While I will say I would like to see more 83-88 Birds featured ( Ford engines only...no cross-breeding crap) , at the same time I know that if the big rags feature more, then more people will get interested in them and then I will not be able to buy them at great prices.  Alan

I am working on a 87 Turbo Coupe that is designed to run 7.50 seconds at 105 mph  ( 1/8 th of course )  Big top end charge....easy launch.

Oh, by the way, the car looks stock on the outside...including wheels.

83-88T-Bird Guy:  Dude! You're "hard core!" (See Glad's "Front Man" editorial on Page 6 of the November 2007 Car Craft)

BTW, does that '87 Turbo Coupe use drag struts or the factory electrically-adjustible struts (I've had a theory for a while about adding a separate "ride control" switch for the front struts to make 'em "soft" on launch (while the rears are set to "hard") and then flipping the front switch to "hard" further down the track to settle the nose down).

Cool all-Ford swaps for the '83-'88 Thunderbird that would fit well in CC's editorial vibe include:

1. Obviously, a 460 (or larger 460-based engine);
2. A JY Mark VIII or FRPP "Aluminator" DOHC Modular (and a turbocharged one would put some real serious "flight" into a Turbo Coupe . . . .) ;
3. A 3V Modular from an '05-present Mustang GT;
4. A 5.4 Lightning or Harley-Davidson F-series Modular;

And I'd bet CC could even fit a JY V10 Triton with a little work . . . .

How 'bout it, CCMAG?
